It was such a touristy thing to do and not usually my style but come on! It's
THE BEATLES!
Their music was and still is some of my favourite music.
It has been for 57 years!
It is difficult to believe that they were only together for about 7 short years.
I loved every single minute of the tour
Even when I had difficulty comprehending the Liverpudlian accent of our tour guide.
But before we get to the Beatles..
Here is Queen Victoria
Nicknamed the Three Graces
Royal Liver (think of the word hive to pronounce) Building
Cunard Building
&
Port Of Liverpool
Here we go..
Of course music was played throughout.
Magical Mystery tour to begin the adventure.
Ringo's Home
The pink one down the right hand side.
Can't forget George's home.
"Two up Two down"
Privy in the backyard.
We drove down Penny Lane and saw ...
The barbershop .. "the barber showing photographs..."
The bank .. "banker with a motorcar"
The shelter in the middle of the roundabout
The fish n chip shop .. " a four of fish n finger pies..."
It's all there!
Strawberry Fields
Is undergoing a facelift and will soon become a school for young adults with learning difficulties. Yoko Ono donated money to Salvation Army for this project.
Our passionate guide Adrian
John Lennon's home with his Aunt Mimi and Uncle George from 1945 to 1963.
Spring in front of Paul's childhood home.
The property is now owned by The National Trust.
John used to ride his bike from his home across the golf course to Paul's home where they wrote and practiced their songs.
These following lyrics from "A Day in the Life" are inspired by Paul's runs up this street to the bus stop.
(We walked those very same steps.)
Woke up, fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my headFound my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up I noticed I was late
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Made my way upstairs and had a smoke
And everybody spoke and I went into a dream
The Cavern was recreated in its original location.
Great atmosphere.
This fellow was doing an excellent job singing Beatle songs.
If you have 23 minutes to spare you may enjoy James Corden carpool karaoke with Paul McCartney.

Our next stop was a ferry boat trip on the Mersey.
My camera battery died at this point.
We also went to Tate Modern
Too modern for me
Disappointing.
After a very full day we returned to our
B & B neighbourhood.
This area is made up of huge mansions, most have been converted into flats.
Moving on tomorrow.
