Imagine
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
Living life in peace
You, you may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
Sharing all the world
You, you may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will live as one
Of course it is better to listen to John Lennon sing it.

This song does express much of what the
camino is about. All the pilgrims from so many
Nations living together, learning from one another.
So many different religions, all being respected.
(rather than no religion)
And so few possessions.
I see why the song suddenly came to mind.
And John, wherever you are, indeed you are not the only one.
Today we had 2 choices of route. I chose the longer 22 km version while Danielle chose the shorter version.
It always takes quite awhile to walk out of a large city and of course we are dealing with much traffic .... most pilgrims are walking to get away from just that. At the outskirts of Ourense the camino climbs for about an hour. The views were spectacular.

This little guy was on the outskirts.
Nice view
Spectacular View
The wildflowers were abundant today.
As were these old spring fed pools. Most are now really gross, filled with algae.
It was very hot today, I welcomed the shade.
The heat put a whole new level of challenge on walking 22 kms.
I was done at the end.
Most pilgrims walking this time of year have many days of heat to contend with.
Tomorrow the weather is predicted to change, perhaps it may rain.
Possibly A different sort of iris, it is quite small.
The Municipal Albergue in Cea.
Out of order. This was in one of the small villages.
Out of order. An ancient bridge on the camino.
A field of young ferns.
Today is Martina's birthday so about a dozen of us trooped through the maze that is Cea to the Praza Maier to go to the bar to celebrate
The very stoic hospitalearo showed up, asked who was celebrating a birthday. When Martina approached him he opened up his jacket and whisked out
a. Beautiful Red Rose!
Turns out he is quite a charmer.
Delightful.
